Bricklayer - Pre-Apprentice

To complete his or her Bricklayer - Pre-Apprentice training, a student must master dozens of skills in the following categories:

• Safety
• Mason tending
• Masonry measuring and cutting
• Brick, block, and stone
• Installation and building
• Layout and bond
• Reinforcement
• Measuring and leveling with story pole, levels and transits, 6-8-10 squaring method
• Pointing, cleaning, and caulking
• Grouting
• Fireplaces (optional)
