Carpentry
To complete his or her Carpentry training, a student must master dozens of skills in the following categories:

- Trade terminology and print reading
- Measuring tools and equipment, basic construction techniques and basic math operations
- Lumber and mechanical fasteners
- Concrete forms (basic column and pier forms)
- Joists and sub-flooring
- Walls and partitions
- Rafters and trusses
- Sheathing
- Roofing, siding and exterior trims
- Doors and windows
- Drywall application
- Paneling and interior trim
- Insulation
- Acoustical ceiling systems
- Metal stud systems
