To complete his or her Plasterer training, a student must master dozens of skills in the following categories:

• Fundamentals of plaster
• Preparation and application methods
• Exterior Insulation Finish Systems (E.I.F.S.)
• Drywall and veneer base hanging and finishing
• Scaffold building
• Lathing
